Astonishing Weekend at The County Championships!

What an exellent weekend for the Club – 2 fabulous days  of competing again.

 In total, we brought home, 4 Golds, 6 Silver, 1 Bronze in the individual events and 2 bronzes in the relays.

Hats off to Alex Murphy who took 4 Golds, 1 silver, and a Bronze,  and broke 4 County Meet records in the 50 brst, 200 brst, 100 IM, 200IM.

He also won the JNR Championship Trophy for 50 brst, JNR Championship Trophy for 200 Brst, and came 2nd in the Open category! The 200 Brst was also a National Qualifying time.

Silvers went to Matthew T for 50 Free, silver to Olly for the 200 fly and a further 3 silvers went to David, for 50 free, 50 brst and 100 IM.

Finalists also include Mollie, Daniella, Edward, Luc. There were well fought races from Roshani, Shannon, Poppy, Ricky, and Tom.

Regional qualification times were gained by Daniella, Yassmine, Olly, David and Alex.

Well fought and very exciting relays produced 2 bronzes from the 9/10 girls Free and Medley teams – Mollie, Shannon, Lucy & Poppy. In a field of 20 teams this was a fantastic acheivement.

The 11/12 Girls team : Adele, Roshani, Daniella, Yassmine came 8th in the Medley and 9th in the Free (out of 20). We were told that if there was a Gold for cheering, Barramundi would win it!

One most notable event was having 3 Barramundis in one final,  50 brst – boys – David, Olly and Luc! Fantastic sight – 3 white hats and a really tight race – 100th of a second seperated David from the winner (CMK)

90% of times were PB’s!!

In total, so far, we have 157 points. Well done everyone.
