we are planning 2 group photos for the web/noticeboard/newspaper. You should know if you have got in by the first of the dates:

Monday 13th Feb – at the Wave – 4pm FOR ALL ACCEPTED entries including all relay teams.

Any of the 12th Feb distance swimmers with medals should bring them!

Monday 19th March – at the Wave – 7pm FOR ALL MEDAL/TROPHY WINNERS.

AT last it has arrived - the start of Counties. February 12th and 19th will see us get started on competing with our fellow County Clubs. This is where we truly pull as a team.

Good luck to all taking part in the 1500/800/400s and the age group relays!

If you would like to place an order for the new style DBSC shirt please complete the order form and return to Debi with a cheque payable to Didcot Barramundi sc, via the tray at The Wave.

As a guide for sizing of the polo shirt the photo (in the link above) has all the information. Size S is worn by an 11 year old. If you need any further information regarding sizing or any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact Debi on Debi@barramundi-swimclub.com

If you would like to order one in time for the first day of County Champs (12th Feb) please order by Monday 6th Feb.

Although this may be of more interest to those going to Counties this year, anyone can buy one. DBSC has its name on the back. You will know if you are going to counties before you need to let me know if you want one. They will not be available to buy at the Champs. This will be the only time you can order one and if there aren’t enough orders across all the clubs, there will be no T-shirt produced.

Cost: £6.50 each

Chq payable to DBSC by 10th Feb. Enveloped with child’s name AND SIZE required and ‘FAO Jo Murphy’ please. Pass to me or put in the Barramundi Tray.

Orders will not be processed without payment or if after that date.

The T-shirts will be available for collection on the second weekend of the main Championships.

Well done to all 5 swimmers who competed at this prestigious event. Higher level than a Regional, actually the best from 3 Regions came together to compete; South East, London, South West. The same was happening in Corby and Sheffield.

Alex Murphy, Shannon Motha, Jamie Goldstone, Oliver Ripley and Danny Amphlett managed to get to this event.

All coped with a long journey to Millfield School, in Glastonbury and competed in an unfamiliar 50m pool and gained amazing experience of high level competition.

Gold went to Alex Murphy (16yrs) for his 100m breaststroke.

3 regions are coming together for the second year to compete in a 50m pool (Millfield) this weekend. The standard is higher than that of a Regional. We have 7 swimmers who gained consideration times and above:

Roshani and Shannon Motha, Danny Amplett, Olli Ripley, Poppy Concannon, Alex Murphy, and Jamie Goldstone.

Of those the 5 are going and we wish them well – Shannon, Ollie, Danny, Alex, Jamie.

A magnificant performance from all the Barramundis at the January last Chance for Counties Gala, this weekend. Almost seen as a trial run for Counties as its the pool for the main weeekends of the Championships.

Land Training 2012

Land Training will recommence April 1st at Matrix. With Counties over 4 weekends over Feb/March we are unable to provide LT.

Anyone wishing to start LT must let Steve Wilkinson know. There is a limit on numbers.
