Excellent Start to the 2009 County Championships….
Uncategorized — By jomurphy on February 28, 2009 at 3:16 pmThis is the club’s 2nd year at these Championships and our 1st at the middle distance events. All 4 of our swimmers were placed in the top 8 gaining 18 points and bringing home 4 plaques!
The 400m free kicked off the events with David coming in 5th place in 10yr age group and Alex gaining a silver in the 13 yr age group. Second session had Mollie coming in 6th in her 10yr age group and Olly was 5th in the 400IM.
Well done, swimmers!

Well Done last weeks swimmers, already half our total score from last year.
Good luck to all those swimming at the weekend. Mollie said last weeks was really great fun, with excellent atmosphere and some amazing swimming. All go out and have fun.

Alex and David enjoyed their middle distance swims more than they thought they would – the day was more like a training session than a stressed atmosphere of intense races – positively relaxing!
