How To Handle Pre-Race Nerves?
By admin on May 7, 2010
There are many techniques to handle nerves before a race or Gala. Here is one that anyone can use.
Ask yourself or the swimmer the following questions:
“Am I swimming in front of a TV audience of 100 million people?” and the answer is (usually) NO.
“Do I have a multi-million pound contract that depends on the result of the race?” NO!
“Will anyone remember this race in 5 years time?” NO!
“Will the world end if I don’t win the race?” NO!
“Will the BBC stop showing Doctor Who if I get DQ’d?” NO!
And so on………
Have fun racing
