By jomurphy on September 17, 200813 year old Alex won the 100m Breaststroke at the LOMBARDIAN TROPHY GALA in Leicester, on Sunday 14th Sept. Swimming for the County, Oxon & North Bucks, he knocked 5 seconds off his own time (12yrs County Record) winning his event and achieving a personal best of 1.11.39.

He has been selected to represent his County again, on October 19th, at the Inter County Championships, also in Pond’s Forge, Sheffield. At this event there will be 38 Counties taking part. This will be his 3rd call-up.
This weekend, Sept 20th, Alex will be in Amersham to trial for Division 10, of the English Schools Swimming Association. He was selected for this by his school, King Alfred’s, Wantage.
His 2 events are 100m Breaststroke and 100m Freestyle. If successful he will compete in the Individual Championships in Enfield, end of October.
